Aurora Dentistry offers dental bonding for patients who are looking to change the look of their smiles.
What is dental bonding?
Dental bonding is a procedure that is used for cosmetic purposes to change the appearance of a tooth or teeth.
Your dentist will place tooth-coloured materials onto your tooth which is hardened with a special light. This bonds the material to your tooth which can help restore your smile.
When may I want dental bonding?
Dentists use bonding to improve teeth that are chipped, stained, cracked, misshapen or separated by gaps.
Do bonded teeth require special care?
Like any other dental procedure, we ask that you consult with your dentist about any post-treatment care required. However, dental bonds usually require only regular dental hygiene to maintain the bonding as long as possible.
Bonding material can chip, so we recommend avoiding biting fingernails; chewing on pens, ice, or other hard food objects; or using your bonded teeth to open things.
If you do notice any sharp edges on a bonded tooth or if your tooth feels odd when you bite down, please contact Dr. Rouah.
